Program Options

As a parent of an elementary-aged child, you will have two program options available through Summit Learning Centre:

What’s the difference?

Essentially, the difference between the two programs is whether you choose a pre-packaged curriculum approach (Open School), or whether you choose to work with your child’s teacher create a more personalized learning plan for your child (Alternate Resources). In the latter option your child’s teacher will work with you to select appropriate learning resources and provide a set of assignments to ensure that prescribed learning outcomes are addressed. Both options require on-going submission of student work for assessment (Home : Assessment) and evaluation throughout each term.

Online Courses

Summit Learning Centre also has access to limited Grade 7 courses online. Please ask our staff for further information.
