Alternate Resources (Elementary Program Option B, K-7)
Summit Learning Centre teachers design the curriculum and recommend resources that will support the Student Learning Plan. Students will be provided with a set of assignments for each subject at their grade level, and will use the resources to complete the assignments. Assignments have been designed to ensure that completion of this work will enable the teachers to evaluate the student’s acquisition of prescribed learning outcomes for their course and grade.
Ongoing, timely assessment and descriptive feedback on student assignments will ensure that students have opportunities to celebrate their successes and receive the support they need to learn and improve throughout the year.
Elementary Program Option B gives students:
- access to a comprehensive set of assignments for each subject
- access to assessment & evaluation of student work
- some books and materials available through our Resource Library
- access to full teacher support
- resource allotments to help support the student’s educational plan, and
- resource allotments for Internet service charges
- access to all of our ArtSmarts activities, & the Computer Lease Program
- recommended websites and computer programs

2011/12 Grad Planner available online!
The Grad Planner is a Ministry-produced document prepared for students entering the Graduation Program. The document outlines graduation requirements, means of getting graduation credit, and provides information about Graduation Program exams as well as funding post-secondary education. The Grad Planner also contains numerous links to websites with helpful information. The 2011/12 Grad Planner is now available on the Ministry website HERE
